The kit includes the fabric for the top and binding. Borders are supplied as 4″ strips to help reduce your cost. The magazine is required for the pattern and is available for purchase with the kit. Magazine is in limited supply.
The fabric for the teal border and the center of the stars is from Basic Grey’s Fruitcake collection and is included in the kit. The cream fabric with the musical notes appears to be from the Joyful Noise collection and is included as well.
The colors are joyful. This is a fun project and sure to become a treasured tradition. Add this bedrunner pattern to your repetoire for memory quilts too!

Here is a new kit that should be available before January 1. Click the picture a couple of times to see a larger view. I’m working on the store sample and still need to attached 2 more piano key columns and their border sash plus the inner and outer border. Kits will be available in Luna Notte, A Simpler Time (North woods-ish), or Kashmir V that I used in the sample.
It’s an easy and fun quilt to make. The quilt top is made from 1 Jelly Roll of fabric, plus the inner and outer border. There are enough strips from the Jelly Roll to bind the quilt. You don’t even have to cut the sashing. Just snip the fabric edge and rip it on the straight of grain. It makes up quick. It was fun to select the fabrics in groups of 3 in making the piano keys, and then after cutting them into sections you got to rearrnge them all over again. All of the Jelly Roll options have a great mix for this kind of quilt.
