Hello Everyone! I finally got more of the site activated. I’m not a web designer by trade, so this in addition to everything else I’ve been into has been a (fun) challenge lately. As some of you know, the shop is a hobby in addition to my full time bring-home-the-bacon job. That is why I have evening shop hours through the week. It’s been a lot of work getting the shop going, but it’s been a hoot as well.
I’ll keep the blog updated with happenings at the shop. Keep your eye on “Wassup at the Merc”. Also check out the class schedule. I am looking for people interested in doing consignment of their handmade items. I would like for them to be made by you or a close friend or family member, and they will need to be in small quantities and suitable in the shop. I am also still looking for more instructors and people to make up samples. Let me know if you are interested. Even if you have not conducted classes in the past, let’s talk. We may be able to arrange a special deal for you as well as our customer for your initial classes.
I am also showcasing the work of my customers. Many of the displayed items in the shop today are showcased items. Right now I have plenty of room for it, and that will diminish some as shop samples go up on the walls. But there will always be room for the showcases. Please participate by sharing your work as well. There has been so much positive feedback on those items. Feel free to use this venue to share kudos with these folks. It is a great way to get inspired and learn new techniques.
Sooo…How about letting me know if you have been over and where you are located, some of your favorite needlecraft hobbies and where you’d like to stretch in the future?
